Not coming from a programming background, I've lived frightened by code of all kinds for a long time, and that postponed my debut into web application development. When I was forced to learn PHP in order to keep my job, I was reborn with a taste for PHP cuisine. Since I had to learn by actually doing (and breaking) stuff, my only available resource was the online manual at php.net.
